Privacy Policy

PURPOSE

This Privacy Policy sets out the rules that Hurley Corporation follows in connection with its collection, use, disclosure and retention of personal information about its employees, its clients and others. This information may be used for contact purposes, for general human resources purposes and to communicate with our clients respecting the services that we provide.

This Privacy Policy conforms to the requirements of the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (Canada).

DEFINITIONS IN THIS POLICY

“collect” means to gather, receive or record personal information from any source and by any method;
“disclose” means to make personal information available to a person other than an employee of Hurley Corporation or its authorized representatives;
“employee” means an individual who is or was employed by, or has applied for a position with Hurley Corporation. This includes any current, past or prospective employee;
“client” means a former, current and prospective clients of Hurley Corporation;
“personal information” means information about an identifiable employee including but not restricted to personal employment files, performance appraisals, security information and benefits and medical information;
“use” means the management of personal information by or on behalf of Hurley Corporation.

WHY HURLEY CORPORATION COLLECTS AND MAINTAINS PERSONAL INFORMATION

Hurley Corporation collects personal information for the purposes of its human resources management and administration and in order that it may provide services and products to its clients.

Hurley Corporation will only collect, use or disclose personal information for purposes that a reasonable person would consider appropriate in the circumstances of an employment or business relationship. Hurley Corporation will always identify the purposes for which we are collecting the information before or at the time we ask for it. We will collect only the information necessary to carry out these purposes. We will use or disclose your personal information only for the purposes for which it was collected, unless you give consent for us to use or disclose it for another reason.

HOW WE OBTAIN YOUR CONSENT

In general, when an employee accepts an offer of employment from Hurley Corporation his or her consent to the collection, use and disclosure of their personal information is understood to be given for all purposes that have been identified to the employee. In addition and from time to time, an employee may be requested to consent to the collection, use and disclosure of personal information for further purposes not included in any consent previously given.
