100% Chemical FREE Cleaning
Through exclusive partnerships, Hurley is the only building services contractor in Canada to provide 100% chemical free cleaning. The RealGREEN, RealCLEANTM program can be chemical free by day using ionized water as Tennant’s ecH20 and activeion replaces all cleaning chemicals normally used.

RealGREEN, RealCLEANTM proof was seen in attaining the project goal of being the first LEED EB building registered in Canada.

RealGREEN, RealCLEANTM is how Hurley does business. The continual research and testing of green cleaning products and services shows our long-term commitment to environmental responsibility, as seen in the following examples:
EXAMPLE: Hard Surface Cleanerfrom Tap Water Only (Activeion)
Hurley has tested and uses Activeion. It turns tap water into a powerful cleaner that’s free of chemicals, and can eliminate up to 47 general-purpose chemicals used for daily cleaning of glass, hard surfaces, and carpets.

How it Works
|
· Slight electrical charge applied to tap water
· Ions become separated
· Oxygen-rich mixture of +/- charged nano-bubbles
· Activated water attracts dirt like a magnet
· Lifts it from surface and is easily wiped away
· Activated water returns to natural state after 30–45 sec

EXAMPLE: Floor Cleaner from Tap Water Only (ecH20)
Hurley’s partnership with Tennant allows us to deliver environmental stewardship of floor scrubber chemicals with Chemical Free ecH20 Technology, which is another ionized water process. The ecH20 technology is the first chemical-free scrubbing system to achieve NFSI High-Traction Certification

EXAMPLE: Sanitizing using water (Dry Vapor technology)
Dry Vapor kills bacteria, viruses, mold, fungus and other allergens on contact, without the use of harsh chemicals. Uses a fraction of the water employed by high pressure washers and allows for contained cleaning, as water and contaminates are not blasted into the surrounding environment. Dry vapor eliminates solvent use and the environmental impact of disposal.
EXAMPLE: Floor Care with 70% less Water Usage
Hurley has implemented FaST (Foam Activated Scrubbing Technology) that uses 70% less water in and out than traditional scrubbing methods. This advancement required Hurley investment in new equipment and training.

ISO 14001 Environmental certification
In 2008, The Hurley Group became the first building service contractor in Canada to achieve divisional ISO 14001 client level certification. This certification provides a complete Environmental Management System (EMS) for these sites, our RealGREEN, RealCLEANTM program and ensures:

· Defines how we manage our services and their impact on the Environment
Environmental Choice, EcoLogo, Green Seal
Purchasing of chemicals and products within RealGREEN, RealCLEANTM is guided by the our preference for the Canadian Government’s Environmental Choice & EcoLogo certification. This 3rd-party validation ensures a consistent standard of truly green items are selected. We augment this with Green Seal certified products when needed.
